Wedding Photographer in Somerset

My style of wedding photography is known as documentary, photojournalism or reportage which means I will be there to capture the day with many colourful and beautiful spontaneous natural images. I will organize some formal photographs, which I will discuss with the couple beforehand and can also arrange a short time away from the wedding party for some more intimate shots if the couple would like it, but my relaxed and informal style is mainly to help your day flow by being as unobtrusive as possible. I will be mingling from the sidelines, telling the story as it unfolds, flitting around casually asking people to turn to the camera and watching for opportunities that undoubtedly arise. There will be no long hold-ups waiting for the photographer to organize groups. My organized shots will be quick, painless and above all, fun! The rest of the time I will be looking to capture the emotion, the quirky, the people enjoying themselves and the natural environment.

I will ensure that the carefully planned details don’t go unnoticed with sparkling shots of the shoes, the favours, the flowers, the decorative features. I am happy to accommodate pre-wedding photography of bride (and groom) getting ready, at different venues if necessary, and will be there until the first dance and beyond if needed. I am also happy to accept bookings for shorter periods (even on Saturdays) for people on a budget.

Prior to the wedding I will arrange a meeting to discuss specific requests and arrangements. I am also happy to have further meetings before the day if needed. I will liaise with the wedding venue and/or church to ensure everything goes smoothly. These meetings are free of charge. I don’t have ‘packages’ for my wedding photography. I charge by the hour for the time booked on the day to take photographs and also for time to enhance and edit the digital images. The time for editing is dependent on the time booked for photography (See price guide for wedding photography). I believe my pricing structure gives couples more flexibility at very competitive rates.

The prices include a Presentation CD/DVD of all images taken on the day. An all day booking usually provides approximately 350-450 images (or more). There is no copyright restriction which gives couples the choice of inexpensively printing images on-line, getting prints at your local photography shop or printing the photographs yourself at home. Prints are also available from Somerset Photographer (See price guide). Extra copies of the Presentation CD/DVDs can be bought at £12 each.

If you would like Somerset Photographer to design a photobook album on your behalf I can do this in a range of sizes. Ask to see samples and prices. I can provide Wedding Invitations, ‘Save the Date’ Magnets, Canvas Prints and ‘Thank You’ Cards. There are a range of products, including personalized options (see invitations and gifts in the shop galleries). I can also provide a wedding board for the day with old photographs of the couple enlarged, enhanced and displayed on a large easel. Ask me for details. There is no obligation for any of these products which can be ordered at any time.

There are no mileage costs within a 10 mile radius of Bath, Somerset and St Ives, Cornwall.
